About Legend Oaks I

The 2017 pool season will run from May 5th - November 30th.  Pool is open 5am - 10pm every day.

*Prevent Oak Wilt:  July 1st - January 31st are the best time to have your oaks properly pruned.* 
*However, if pruning is necessary outside of these dates, it should only be performed by a certified Arborist to reduce risk of disease, which can spread to neighboring properties.*

Legend Oaks I is a highly desirable southwest Austin neighborhood located just 8-10 minutes from downtown Austin.  The community is intended by its residents to embody high quality standards.  Much attention was given to preserve the trees during the homebuilding stage; therefore, this has created a beautiful and tranquil setting with it's many mature oak trees. Today Legend Oaks I includes just over 350 homes, which creates just the perfect sized community.

Recreation center amenities include a swimming pool and cabana, a covered playscape, tennis court, and plenty of barbecue grills and picnic tables throughout the neighborhood park.  The Latta Branch Greenbelt and Williamson Creek travel directly through the middle of the neighborhood creating a peaceful little oasis in Austin.

Local shopping includes The Shops at Arbor TrailsEscarpment Village, and Sunset Valley Village.  The Alamo Drafthouse, Via 313, Jack Allen's Kitchen, Whole Foods, Chuy's, Costco, Hyde Park Bar & Grill, Amy's Ice Creams, Regal Westgate Stadium 11, P. Terry's, Torchy's Tacos, Tiff's Treats, Kerbey Lane CafeNorth by Northwest, and Slab BBQ have been welcome additions.  

Legend Oaks is in Austin ISD.  Exemplary neighborhood schools include Mills Elementary, Patton Elementary, Gorzycki, and Small Middle School.  High schools include Austin High School and Bowie High School.  The Pinnacle at Austin Community College is less than one mile away.  The University of Texas at Austin is less than 15 minutes away.

Members who wish to host a pool party must request permission and submit an application to Pioneer Real Estate.  The Board of Directors strongly recommends that you hire 2 certified lifeguards, especially if you will be having children at your party who are not strong swimmers (Please Note:  Pool parties are not available Friday-Sunday 4-8 p.m., or all day on holidays or holiday weekends and after 10 p.m.).  Submit reservations to Pioneer Real Estate, care of Legend Oaks, 611 S. The social hub of Legend Oaks is the Recreation Center, which includes the pool & clubhouse, playscape, and tennis court. The playscape was replaced in October of 2007 and has been a busy place for families since its completion. The canopy was a welcome addition as children are able to play all day long in the shade. 

The swimming pool is the neighborhood's favorite summertime facility.  It has lap swimmers in the morning and families throughout the rest of the day. There is a separate Toddler Pool for children age 7 and under that was resurfaced in 2015. Bathroom facilities in the cabana were remodeled in 2014. An outdoor shower is available for the convenience of our residents.

The tennis court was resurfaced in 2010 by Dobbs Tennis Courts and the facility was given new equipment.

These facilities are only for the use of Legend Oaks I dues paying members & their guests.


LOOA Annual Membership Meeting

The annual meeting of the LOOA membership is normally held the fourth Tuesday of October, from 7-8:30 p.m.  The 2016 meeting was held at the Abiding Love Lutheran Church, 7210 Brush Country Rd., (corner of Convict Hill).  To nominate a candidate for the board election or for more information, you may contact Judy Wilcox at Pioneer Real Estate at 512-447-4496 or you may email her at:  judy@pioneeraustin.com.  The agenda will be posted at the Recreation Center on the bulletin board outside the pool.

The Annual General Membership Meeting of the Legend Oaks Owners Association is normally held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of October at the pool cabana on Oliver Loving Trail or at Abiding Love Lutheran Church, 7210 Brush Country Rd., (corner of Convict Hill) dependent upon weather.  Location may vary - see posted agenda in the bulletin board outside the Legend Oaks pool cabana at the Recreation Center.
